With a crowded "Sportpaleis" in Antwerp, the TMF Awards 2005 was again a great success. Phlippo Productions used the latest innovative lighting technology to make this show even more impressive then last year. A Luminex Back-Bone system was used to run all DMX universes on an optical fiber network. A Maxedia media server mapped video to Thomas PixelLines to get the complete background scenery in the same mood as the video walls.
The show design was made by Michiel Milbou. Wysiwyg Engineer Dirk Op't Einde prepared the complete show and operators Dimi Theuwissen and Jimmy Stass pre-programmed the show at Painting With Light its Wysiwyg studio. Painting With Light also provided 2 Pandoras Boxes, triggered by ArtNet universes and controlling the video screens.
Luminex provided a complete network solution to run all DMX lines on ArtNet. At the front of house (FOH) 2 Ethernet-DMX8 nodes were used to put all DMX outputs from 2 HogII and 1 Mentor on the network. 2 Individual Optical leads, connected to a Safety Ring Switch on each side, assured a redundant link between the FOH and the stage. An additional network connection was made to the Video servers and the Maxedia to have all universes available to control the servers from the desk. 2 Ethernet-DMX8 nodes were used to output all DMX lines at the stage, coming from the FOH and an other 2 Ethernet-DMX8 nodes were used to drive the Thomas PixelLines and Studio Colours in the set. These universes were generated by the Maxedia server.
